The Ones We Never Knew
By Holly Williams
All as it should be

Wow, you guys. It's been a few weeks since I've checked this, and just seeing all of your posts made me want to cry. I'm so glad to have met people like you!

School is excellent. well, at least I don't want to pull my hair out every hour of every day. english class is phenomenal, it's so interesting that I even was paying complete attention after only getting four hours of sleep last night. But my teach is a flaming liberal, so it's amazing to see him get really fired up about things. who knows, he may turn me into a violent feminist of an anarchist by the end of the year. just kidding... I have chorus practice twice a week every week, and a third practice every other week. then church on wednesdays, then work on the weekends. needless to say, I'm busy. this weekend my parents and I are going to visit Berry College in Georgia. It's huge and beautiful...I'll let you know how it goes.

How is everybody? School going well? college plans? I know I'm busy with applications, the SAT and ACT, recommendations, scholarship forms, and it goes on and on...

Wow, I'm exhausted. School started monday, and after three days, I can hardly keep my eyes open. Sorry I don't have much to say, I'm just so tired and a little depressed. Just that teen angsty stuff, but still I wish I could still be positive about everything. Hope everyone is doing well...

PS: I'm probably coming to see my grandma in Russellville, AL this weekend. Florence kids, you better look out for me!

thanks so much for responding to my last post...it's so good to hear from some of you! school starts in less than 2 days, I still have an entire book to read and 6 lessons of calculus to complete before my first class. I met my rat (6th grade buddy)...she's really sweet but she's shy, and she actually said "yes ma'am" to me when we met. I said, Ok Lauren, that's not going to fly. you definitely don't have to call me ma'am. And then I felt extremely old. My best friend told me today not to be afraid of change, especially afraid of being away from the ones we love. (He's at UGA right now). Yes, it's different from doing everything together, but it's just as if not more amazing to experience different things and to be different people and to share those things.

hope you are all doing really well!

Severe Mercy, A

So where is everyone? Dead? Tired? Doing homework? all of the above? Hope not. How is everyone's senior year? Let me know please!

Now reading: A Severe Mercy...it's really good. It's about these two people that fall in love, have a wonderful relationship, except they aren't Christians. Then they meet CS Lewis who leads them to become Christians. This brings a whole new side to their relationship...

Guess what? still not in school. I quit. just kidding...if you know me at all you know that wouldn't happen. we just start a week from monday.  so today I get to go to work at 3 to make chocolate mousse for the restaurant (about 40 servings) and then stay until probably 10 as a hostess.  but, tomorrow I'm off completely so I can sleep in and go to my friend's movie premiere tomorrow night. Well, it's actually not a real movie, they just made a mockumentary about a fake band, it that makes any sense.  it should be hilarious. But first I need to get more shampoo because I haven't actually washed my hair in three days because I'm too lazy to go buy some and my sister has been on vacation all week so her's isn't here and I always forget to borrow some of my mom's before I get in the shower.  good thing none of you can smell my hair right now... Monday I have leadership retreat for school from 9-1 and tuesday I have to set up and work at the New Student/Faculty luncheon for student council from 9-1 and then I register tuesday from 2-3.  wednesday night we have the senior planning dinner, thursday we have the Cat/rat "coke party" ( cat/rat is this thing where they pair up a senior with a new 6th grader and we're like their mentors all year, sort of. we actually just buy presents for them and stuff.) I miss all you honors symposium kids...only God knows where we'll all end up at school, but I hope I get to see you all again soon!good luck this year with school! I love you all!

PS: I just finished this amazing, I mean AMAZING book called Blue Like Jazz. Most of you might have heard of it, but it's wonderful. Highly recommended by me, once again Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Read it!
